Following in the footsteps of many others I thought I'd share a few BMW-related words and pictures with the world. So, whether or not you're interested here's some stuff about BMW Boxers I've known.
'83 R100RS (May 2002){short description of image} click for more

I bought this R100RS in October 2001. Whether or not it was a mid-life crisis it was my first bike after a 20 year layoff. First registered in 1983 it had 54500 miles on the clock. I parted company with it in January 2004, after many hours of refurbishing and getting to know about older boxers -as well as covering around 12000 miles.

After getting stuck into the R100RS for 18 months I decided it was time to bring my Boxer knowledge a bit more up to date. In March 2003, after scanning many articles, web pages and ads this 21000 mile, '94 R1100RS caught my eye. In the 10 months up to January 2004 I rode it some 11000 miles with hardly a hiccup - a great bike!

The 1100RS was great but with aspirations to do more touring I was enticed towards the much acclaimed 1100RT. I took a deep breath in January 2004, sold the two RSs above and bought this 18000 mile 1998 RT.
